Beautiful rich black quality lake from the same maker of our Krazycolour dyes.

Usage rate: approx. 1/2 - 1 tsp per 2 cups baking soda, you may add more for deeper shades.

 

Soap, Skincare & Bath: Yes

Eye Products: Yes

DIRECTIONS:  This powder disperses best in liquid oil and oil based products.  This powder can be used in water based products if first dissolved in liquid glycerin.  For dry products, add desired amount of powder to dry ingredients. Incorporate colour to formula slowly, using amount as desired.   Adding this colour to a white base will produce a beautiful pastel colour.  Adding this colour to a clear base will produce a darker true colour.

TIPS: Using too much colour may cause staining. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing. 

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location.

Not black...

It's beautiful but its not black, at least not for bath bombs. The color is more of a very dark purple. see photo for the color I was able to acheive.

Thank you for leaving a review for our Black Galaxy Lake, and we're glad to hear you still found the colour to be beautiful! We do apologize for any confusion with the color, however. It absolutely takes a lot of colourant to achieve a true 'black' with the lake, and it may only be really evident in the bath water itself, rather than the dry bath bomb. If you haven't already, I suggest you try our Black Hybrid (I'll link it below). Hybrids are a combination of dyes and lakes, so here you have the ease of using it like a lake, but the impact brought by a dye, which is sometimes needed when trying to achieve those very dark (yet not staining) shades.
